Terms & Conditions
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Precision Pipe & Power website (the "Website") and the services ("Services") provided by Precision Pipe & Power (Pty) Ltd ("we", "our", "us"). By using the Website or engaging us for Services, you agree to these Terms.
1. Website Use
The Website is provided for general information about our Services. While we take reasonable care to keep content accurate and up to date, we do not warrant that the information is complete, current or error-free, and information may be amended without notice.
You agree not to use the Website in any way that is unlawful, that disrupts its operation, or that infringes the rights of any other person. All content on the Website (including text, images and design) is owned by or licensed to Precision Pipe & Power (Pty) Ltd and may not be reproduced without our written consent, except for personal, non-commercial reference.
2. Services and Quotes
Quotes provided by us are indicative and are subject to inspection of the relevant property, site access, materials required and the final scope of work. A formal quote will only become binding once it has been issued in writing and accepted by you.
We reserve the right to revise a quote where, after inspection, the work required differs materially from what was initially described, or where unforeseen issues are identified during the work. Any such revision will be communicated to you before additional work is undertaken, where reasonably possible.
3. Certificates of Compliance (COCs)
Certificates of Compliance for electrical and plumbing installations are issued only after an inspection has been carried out and any required repairs or upgrades have been completed.
A Certificate of Compliance confirms that the relevant installation complies with applicable requirements at the time of inspection. It does not guarantee against future faults, third-party tampering, wear and tear, damage caused by natural events, or alterations made after the certificate is issued.
Where an inspection identifies non-compliance, we will provide a written summary of required work and an associated quote. The certificate will only be issued once the required work has been completed and re-inspected.
4. Emergency Call-Outs
Emergency call-outs are prioritised where reasonably possible. Response and completion times may vary depending on technician availability, traffic, parts and site access.
We do not guarantee specific response or completion times. Where any commitment regarding timing is made, it is made in good faith based on the information available at the time and is not a contractual guarantee unless specifically agreed in writing.
5. Repairs, Materials and Site Access
You are responsible for providing safe and reasonable access to the site, including access to relevant areas (such as the distribution board, geyser, water mains, ceiling voids and outdoor units) and any keys, codes or permissions required.
Where access is not available or is delayed, we reserve the right to charge for time spent on site or for re-attendance. Materials used remain our property until paid for in full.
6. Payment, Variations and Scope Changes
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, payment terms are as set out in the relevant quote or invoice. Variations to the agreed scope of work may result in changes to the price and timeline. Such variations will be communicated to you before they are carried out, where reasonably possible.
Late payment may result in interest being charged at the legally permitted rate, and may result in suspension of further work or recovery action.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, special or consequential loss, including but not limited to loss of profits, loss of data, loss of use or loss of business opportunity, arising out of or in connection with the Website or the Services.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for fraud or for personal injury caused by negligence.
8. Third-Party Links
The Website may include links to third-party websites or services. We do not control such third parties and are not responsible for their content, products or practices.
9. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent version. Continued use of the Website or engagement of our Services after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
10. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. The parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of South Africa for any disputes arising from or in connection with these Terms or the Services.
